I hope that leftists in the US can start down such a path, but I'll be honest and say I'm not confident democracy in the US is even going to survive this election, let alone 15 years on. But if there's any hope, it has to look something like what you describe; we have to organize over the long term.
I agree, people are speculating that far-right actors will interfere with the election. Scary stuff! All the more reason to do everything we can to keep each other safe. <3
