This week marks one year of writing this newsletter!! I published my two first posts on July 10th, 2022, one where I stated my intent for this newsletter and one where I shared why you should care about my opinion in the first place.

In an era of byte-sized, brain-rotting misinformation sharing (I truly can’t tell what’s worse, click bait headlines or algorithmically-driven video scrolling), I am proud to offer long-form content that does what all my favorite creators do: weaving together disparate concepts into a cohesive whole. Even if it’s just to the 214 of you, I am grateful for your readership; thank you so much for being here!! 💖

It’s a “paid week” for those of you who have given me money for my takes (thanks by the way!!), so I thought I would go over some of my favorite pieces from the past year and add some bonus commentary.
